The brand encompasses lakeside rental properties in Alabama, with unique names like Fish & Frolic Holiday and Dock to Do Little.
With an Instagram facelift and a website redesign, Grandbanana's rental bookings increased by 23% in their first month of launch, and grew their advance bookings by 37% within three months.
The challenge was balancing a playful name and banana motif with the owners’ serious love for travel (31 states, 42 countries, four territories) while remaining competitive within the Alabama rental scene.​​​​​​​
The solution leaned into charm with intention. Camp-inspired, yet refined typography establishes warmth, while the illustrated Grandbanana (suitcase and travel hat in tow) sits within a blue globe to subtly signal world travel and convey playfulness.
A lake and beach–inspired palette of blues and sun-warmed accents creates an inviting, relaxed atmosphere while keeping the brand fresh and memorable across web and social. A custom banana badge double as an airplane window and door, reinforcing the travel story in a quiet, thoughtful way. Additional badges bring the rental properties under the brand in their own, unique way.
